Amidst a healthcare system, and nation, mired in burnout, gaps and disparities and splintered by distraction, the practice of narrative medicine urges and enables us to breathe, focus attention and be present in the words or brushstrokes of an artist so as to recognize our selves, relationships, connect and heal.
